Learning never goes out of date. The brain is the most powerful thing and education is key. Whatever sector you learn in, you always have that knowledge in your head. I wish I knew all of this in school!!
I used to be a social butterfly. But in 2017, I had some really bad family issues. I had to move out of London. Being so young at the time, it was a such a big change in environment and I was away from my friends, with a whole new group of people. I was placed in bed and breakfasts, semi-independent homes and hostels, which is where I’m living at the moment.
Despite everything, I’ve always held a job down with loads of experience in retail and hospitality. I love working. I get the job done with the biggest smile on my face and customers really like me. Right now, I feel like I am at a time where I can focus on myself. I want to network, meet people and build my career.
Why do I want to get into the beauty and spa sector? In this modern world of technology, making people feel relaxed, beautiful and good within themselves is really important to me in getting a lot of job satisfaction. Once I’ve got some extra money, it’ll be really nice to relax and treat myself to a few beauty treatments.
In the next few years, I see myself with good qualifications on my CV, working for a great spa and having my own little beauty business on the side. I want to prove my point that I'm good at this and can do this. And to inspire and motivate other young people to keep working hard and reach their dreams too, no matter what their background is.
